Road transfer to the riverbank
For Caraíva, we take the road without using the Porto Seguro ferry. The road journey takes approximately two hours, depending on route conditions. Our service ends at the riverbank, at the access point for the canoe crossing. The vehicle does not enter Caraíva village or take passengers to their accommodation door. Provide your arrival time, including at night, so reception and transport can be arranged.
Canoe, luggage and onward travel
Passengers pay for the canoe crossing separately; it is not included in the transfer. The amount reported by our team in October 2026 is R$10 per person, subject to change by the crossing operator; confirm locally. After leaving the vehicle, passengers are responsible for luggage and the onward journey. Transfer Trancoso does not accompany this stage. Tell us in advance if you travel with children or have mobility needs.
Luggage, strollers and mobility needs
The planning reference is one large suitcase per passenger. Also declare smaller bags, strollers and wheelchairs: space must be arranged around the number of people and child equipment. Mention these items when booking so a suitable vehicle can be selected. For reduced mobility, describe the assistance needed and boarding arrangements; confirm the available configuration before booking.
Airport meeting and flight tracking
Your driver meets you at Porto Seguro Airport arrivals with a sign showing the passenger’s booking name. We track the flight in real time to adjust the meeting if it is delayed or arrives early. Normally there is no additional charge for waiting caused by the flight; specific circumstances are agreed with the team. Where to meet the driver on return
On return, meet your driver at the riverbank where canoes arrive on the vehicle-access side. Agree on the date, time and contact with the team. When leaving your accommodation, allow for reaching the canoe, the crossing, luggage and the road journey to the airport. The 2-hour-30-minute reference used for Trancoso does not apply to a Caraíva return.
Booking and confirmation
We recommend booking at least one day before arrival. Same-day requests are also accepted with at least two hours’ notice, subject to availability. The team confirms the booking by message; no advance deposit is required. Send your name, contact, date, pick-up point, destination or accommodation, passengers, luggage and flight details. For a round trip, include the details of both journeys.
